“To win, you need an edge. To keep winning, you need a strategy.”

d’Edge by KW

To outperform, a company, product or person has to stand out: by doing what nobody else is doing yet, or by doing the same thing with an edge. Everyone knows the goal is to win. The question is how.

Sharpen the edge.
Set the strategy.
Play to win.

Story

Kelvin Wu

An athlete’s mindset.
A dealmaker’s experience.

Sport came first, and boarding school in the UK made it a way of life. University in Hong Kong added the business side, with ambassador roles at Nike and Jack Wills: brand, marketing and event activations, seen from the inside.

Real estate followed: intern at Savills, then HK Sotheby’s Int’l Realty after graduating, and later C-level roles at IFCX Group as the architect of its growth. Since 2010, the career has run through Asia, the Middle East, Europe and more.

The real edge is perspective: reading people and markets, seeing the bigger picture and spotting the angle others miss. Add an athlete’s preparation, composure and desire to win, and that’s d’Edge by KW.

Early to new markets.

Real estate is the strongest thread: international deals that sent KW into Southeast Asia and the Middle East early, and into developed markets like Singapore and the UK. Businesses and start-ups were built in Vietnam and Thailand before those markets got crowded, with early moves into Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Away from the deal table, property investing remains a passion, and it keeps the instinct sharp.

Partner at IFCX Group, backed by Black Spade Capital, having led and scaled the group’s businesses in C-level roles, incl. Asia Bankers Club and Knightsbridge Partners.

Beyond business

Sport as a way of life.

Football, hurdles, lacrosse, tennis, badminton and more: different sports at different stages of life, but the love of sport never stopped. Psychology, philosophy and poker are the same fascination from other angles: how people decide when something is at stake. Art, interiors and architecture complete the picture.

Next: putting this experience to work across the sports industry, from sports tech to teams and the business around them, with a growing focus on wellness and longevity.
